Freedom

I am grateful for God giving us our agency; the ability and freedom to choose good over evil. Freedom to me is the unrestricted exercise to make choices. Surely our endowed unalienable rights from our Creator are freedoms to be protected; Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. For without the ability and freedom to make choices we could never experience or obtain true happiness.

  1. Thought-provoking video. I'm grateful for all the freedoms mentioned there and I'm grateful that I can realize all of them here in Hungary. It hasn't always been like that, according to history. Worth protecting, for sure. I think it's interesting that Thomas Jefferson put those three aspects of freedom (life, liberty, pursuit of happiness) in the order he did. As you alluded to, Nate, without the freedom of life, there is no liberty. Without the freedom of liberty, there is no possibility to pursue happiness. Once life and liberty are given, only then can one search for happiness according to his/her choices. Simple, yet profound, and unfortunately, not yet enjoyed all over the world.
